These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of VodShorter (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service is operated by PI Innovations, LLC ("we", "us", "our"), trading as VodShorter. You can reach us at support@vodshorter.com.
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using it, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
We authenticate you by sending a magic link to your email address — there is no password. You are responsible for maintaining access to and the security of your email account, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at support@vodshorter.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your authorization.
VodShorter processes podcast and video content you upload to produce short-form vertical clips, including automated cropping, captions, and suggested social captions. Clip selection and captioning are performed by automated and AI systems. Output quality varies, and the Service may produce results that are inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your purpose. You are responsible for reviewing all output before relying on or publishing it.
You retain all ownership of the content you upload ("Your Content") and of the clips produced from it. You represent and warrant that you own or have all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to upload Your Content and to have it processed by the Service, and that doing so does not infringe any third party's intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, process, transmit, and modify Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you (including sending it to the third-party processors listed in our Privacy Policy). We claim no ownership of Your Content or the clips produced from it.
You agree not to use the Service to:
We may suspend or terminate access for conduct that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or harms the Service or other users.
Your first video may be processed under a free trial. For subsequent videos, downloading the produced clips requires a one-time unlock fee per video at the price shown at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe; by paying, you also agree to Stripe's terms. Prices are in U.S. dollars and exclusive of any applicable taxes, which may be added at checkout. We may change prices prospectively at any time; changes do not affect purchases already completed.
Because clips are digital goods delivered immediately when you unlock a video, payments are generally non-refundable except where required by law or where we choose to grant a refund at our discretion. If you believe you were charged in error, contact support@vodshorter.com.
The Service is not a storage or backup service. As described in our Privacy Policy, source upload files are deleted approximately 24 hours after processing completes, and processed clip files are deleted approximately 7 days after processing completes. Download your clips before then; we are not responsible for content deleted in the ordinary course of the Service.
The Service relies on third-party processors (including Stripe, Groq, Anthropic, Resend, and Cloudflare) to function. Your use of the Service may be subject to those providers' terms, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions. See our Privacy Policy for details on what data is shared and why.
The Service itself — including its software, design, and branding — is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you no right to our trademarks, logos, or other brand features without our prior written permission.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated output will be accurate or suitable for your purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim and USD $100.
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or the rights of any third party.
You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account and associated data using the Delete my account option in your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including sections 6, 9, and 12–15) will survive.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Washington for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
